TUAW, along with just about everyone else online is reporting that Safari seems to be one of the most, unsafe browsers, if not the most unsafe.

It took a short 5 seconds to break safari and create a security hole to access your laptop.  Enough to make you change browsers?  It was enough to make Apple offer an update, yet a few holes still remain.

Updated to 3.2, Bootcamp comes in two shades: 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows.  In addition, the update now supports ATI-Radeon HD 5870 graphics board.  There’s a few other bug fixes and APple recommends the upgrade if you’re currently using 3.1.

With an updated version of the iPad player, Hulu announces new lower pricing and refunds for early adopters.  How often have you heard of that?  I for one - NEVER!  Congrats to Hulu.

Someone finally figured out how to make a successful mobile model for TV.  The new procing drops from $9.99 per month to $7.99.  For all of you that missed Glee the other night, it’s available on Hulu now.

Don’t get me wrong I am a big Beatles fan.  Perhaps that’s why this is a non-story for me.  I already have burned near every Beatle song from my legally purchased CD’s to my iTunes account.  Will I be making any more purchases?  I already own this music, and it’s on my iPod legally.

So I suppose this is for my children (who by the way, have my music collection on their iPods and are avid Beatle fans already as well.  Perhaps this is for my Grandchildren?  Perhaps this is really for Steve, and it’s another battle he won in music.  Congrats Steve.  I am glad the Beatles are on iTunes.  It just isn’t going to change my life. 

Now, should you bring my iTunes library to the cloud sooner rather than later…that’s news Steve.

There is a great deal of excitement happening in the Mac-space about iDisk streaming of your tunes.  Before you get too excited, read MacWorld’s take:

“In a nutshell, streaming media in the background with its MobileMe iDisk app is a marginally useful feature that Apple added (and mentioned) in July. But it isn’t quite time to break out the credit cards and bubbly in celebration of “iTunes in the cloud” yet.”

Here’s the post that started today’s discussion from MP3.com:

“This is not “iTunes in the cloud” but it is definitely moving the Cupertino company in that direction. First off there is no automated way to get all your iTunes music to your iDisk account. To load files to iDisk you have to select individual files and upload them from your browser. (Apple does let you sync Calendars, Contacts, Bookmarks, etc directly from OSX but excludes music files.) Secondly there’s no support for playlists so your iTunes playlist do not work in iDisk. There seems to be no way to play a list of files. Cover art is not supported as well. And while iDisk will cache other files, it will not cache music files. Still it’s not hard to see how Apple is adding features to enable it to support audio in it’s cloud storage business.”

Introduced earlier this week, word has it that the order for such behemoths will begin August 9th.  Get your credit card ready, and make sure it has ample room available as you could be dropping as much as $5,000!

We heard this was coming, but we really didn’t expect it today.  It looks gorgeous. 

There’s a few things to point out.  First, it’s HDMI finally.  Which means of course you can connect it to your big screen and use the Mac Mini as your Apple TV.  Um, wait…

There’s two options: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM. 320 GB hard drive, $699 - Or - 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, Dual 500 GB hard drive, $999

That’s right folks, iPad apps are now being accepted.  You can click here to start developing yours.  We also just got word that at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB Show), a new Teleprompter iPad app will be on display.

When the original 30” cinema display left, it seemed a sure thing Apple would replace it with a shiny new one.  The Cinema line has been quite for some time now.  Just when you gave up, and wondered, why the iMac could come in 27” flavor but not a display, Apple may be finally delivering on the goods.  According to AppleInsider, look for a June announcement.

Without much hype, becomes reality.  When?

The last time I worked for a larger company, I was forced to use a PC.  I spent more time getting to know the IT guys than I really cared to.  Not that they weren’t nice, but my computer always needed fixing.  I convinced my boss to get me a Mac, and I never needed the IT guys again for the next 2 years.  No kidding.

It doesn’t come as a surprise to me that in tech support, Apple scored high marks and beat their competition by a large margin.  I haven’t had to even call tech support very often, but my experiences for the most part have gone very, very well.  Congrats Apple tech support.  You should be celebrating this evening.

With the ability to order a new iPad, come a wealth of new information and recent changes.

Buyers have two choices: a $15 per month plan that limitsr data consumption to 250MB or a $30 per month plan for unlimited data. What’s new is that users who choose to sign up for the 250MB plan will be provided with information on the iPad’s screen to let them know when they approach the data limit: specifically, when they have 20 percent, 10 percent, or no data remaining—just like the iPhone’s low battery warnings.Of course if you get the alert, you’ll be able to ad more now, or later. You can even change to the unlimited data plan from the 250MB plan, or add another 250MB of data if you want. YOu can view how much data you’ve used, how many days left in your plan and more.  All from you screen.

TechCrunch has a neat article examining the slate alternatives to the iPad.  I personally own two of their choices and I’m not sold. 

The Andoird tablet by Archos, while cool (I have the 5), doesn’t allow you to use the traditional Android marketplace.  What the?  Therefore, all of the cool apps I have on my Android phone (yeah I have an iPhone too, we have a sister site called Apps4Phones), can’t make it to the Archos.  The app choices are frankly pretty lame, making the tablet for me simply and internet tablet, and it’s just OK at that.  Read on for more…

According to the famous book seller, iPad users will have access to over a million books and magazine titles.  Combined with the Kindle reader already fro the iPhone, and I have a feeling my Kindle and Sony readers are going to be gathering lots of dust.

Podcasting is a fun way to talk to a lot of people about things that interest you or about which you are an expert. This article is going to show you how to be up and running with your first podcast in just a few minutes! All you really need is your trusty Mac and a version of iLife – hopefully the latest version, iLife’09.

You’ll also need some kind of microphone, though you can use your built in mic if you are on a MacBook, iMac or a MacPro with a Mac monitor. You probably have a mic laying around the house that will work.

All I know is that I will be one of the many, many folks placing my order on the 12th.  No, I’m not getting the AT&T version because I already maintain a Verizon MiFi.

If you have a Mac and either a MobileMe account or an ftp site (possibly that came free from your internet provider), you can create really easy websites in the blink of an eye. Even if you’ve never considered having your own website, you’ll be amazed at how much fun you can have and how you’ll love sharing it with your friends.

Remember, kids - your time is more valuable than the cost of yet another hard drive, and the 5 minutes it takes to set up a backup copy rolling before leaving for the night. Even for personal projects. Shut up. It was late. I was on the phone. I was busy. I wish I’d been drinking.

With a name like iMovie, you probably don’t think of it if you are trying to come up with a way to create a nice animated slideshow with music and narration, but believe me, iMovie is not only ideally suited for the job, but it’s also really easy to use for this task.

MWSF 2010 is now over, the first MacWorld Expo without Apple’s participation. In short: the Expo was jam-packed with visitors, and the vendors I spoke with were very happy with the crowds. So everyone was happy? No so fast…

MacWorld has become less and less of a must-attend trade show over the past decade.  I have attended every year for the past 15+ years and always looked forward to it.  Not this year though.  I’m not even sure why?

Is it because the show moved from January to February?  Maybe.  Is it because the show had no real introductions from Apple?  YES!  Is it because Apple doesn’t seem to care about MacWorld so why should I?  I think that’s about right.

It is the start of a new era.
