With the ability to order a new iPad, come a wealth of new information and recent changes.

3G News. ( Remember however, if you’re ordering today, the wait for a 3G version if longer…)
Buyers have two choices: a $15 per month plan that limitsr data consumption to 250MB or a $30 per month plan for unlimited data. What’s new is that users who choose to sign up for the 250MB plan will be provided with information on the iPad’s screen to let them know when they approach the data limit: specifically, when they have 20 percent, 10 percent, or no data remaining—just like the iPhone’s low battery warnings.Of course if you get the alert, you’ll be able to ad more now, or later. You can even change to the unlimited data plan from the 250MB plan, or add another 250MB of data if you want. YOu can view how much data you’ve used, how many days left in your plan and more.  All from you screen.

iBooks

Apparently the iBooks application will NOT come bundled with the iPad.  Not sure at all why, but it will be a download from the store.  Cost or free?  Apple claims iBooks will remember where you left off in your reading, launch to that position when iBooks is launched. There’s also a built-in dictionary activated by pressing and holding the word in question.

Lock Rotation

Here’s an important one, where the mute button can now be used for the lock of screen rotation.  Likely a great move for us readers and users of the web…

There likely more and we’ll be keeping you up to speed as we learn more.
